New York Philharmonic

My favorite gift from my folks are tickets to the Young People's Concerts of the New York Philharmonic.

For the last concert this season, friends gave me two extra tickets.

We took Rosemary and Silas' friend Teun. For both, it was their first time at the symphony.

There are always instruments (and innards) on display.

We even have box seats!

Teun's parents could not believe I volunteered, single-handedly, to bring a 6, 5, and 2-year-old to hear the New York Philharmonic.

But the kids were great and enjoyed the show.

Isham Park Hunt

Uncle Blair

Blair was in New York on other business and dropped in to say hello to his newest niece.

Visiting Tess and the Rest

My parents came out to meet Tess and to help us for two weeks.

Tess did not immediately embrace this turn of events.

But she came around.

Here's Rosemary sharing Grandma's breakfast at the Farmer's Market.

Silas was reading about pyramids, so we took him to the Egyptian section of the Met. 

Grandpa and Grandma joined in one of our favorite pastimes -- Old Maid.

Three Months!

Rosemary at the Y

Rosemary began nursery school at the Washington Heights Y today.

She was so excited.  All weekend long she told everyone she saw, "I'm going to the Y school."

She even has Miss Vickie, Silas' old nursery school teacher.

Rosemary was last in this room on the day Silas "graduated" from the nursery program.

She was one week old.

Lots of Snow

We had 29 inches of snow this February, the second snowiest February in the record books.

Silas and Rosemary were outside in it every day.

Silas added some bricks to this abandoned snow fort.
